Forensics science fascinates me, and this book was perfect for learning more about the field and how each discipline can work together. The author does a great job with the storytelling, which can be hit or miss in nonfiction. I never found it dry or dull, and everything was put into laymen’s terms that anyone could understand. I loved seeing how the team was created and how they continued to add members as they found more and more new areas of expertise.

Listened to the audiobook which I think was a good thing, as I’m not sure I would have gotten through it otherwise. It is an emotionally heavy book given the topic, but very interesting and informative. I did however often lose focus while listening to it, not sure why, so sometimes found myself confused about the characters and which crime was being discussed. Thank goodness I could rewind!

A fun surprise in that this group is centered out of Colorado, so hearing about the locations was nostalgic.
This book was awesome. If you're a true crime aficionado like me, you've heard of NecroSearch International, Inc. and the work they do in assisting law enforcement. This gives the details as to how they came to be and some of the cases they've helped with.
More like 4.5 stars. Fascinating book and really interesting science and formation of this group. The last couple cases really dragged and were more about the case than the science.
An excellent read for any fan of true crime, forensic science and FBI Files.
I listened to this on audible. I was hooked! So interesting!
