This book started slow and did not pick up until close to the end. She is an actress with a stalker. Who is the stalker? Several possibilities show themselves through different points of view and story lines. Characters did not have a lot of depth and the reader is not able to get to know them enough to be invested in anyone. The story fell flat for me.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars rounded to 4.

…I really wish there was an epilogue? Also, the audio was phenomenal. 5 stars to the narrators!!

I loved the setup of the story and the premise of all the drama. But there were two serious storylines plus a set of possible romances, and none of them were handled completely.

I despise cliffhangers unless they’re needed for a sequel…so maybe there will be a sequel? Otherwise this feels very unfinished.

The characters were well written. I thought Honor was written exceptionally well. The first 1/3 of the book, I definitely thought multiple characters could be marker man. But in the end, this needed a little more substance and explanation to wrap up the storylines.

This was a twisty, fast-paced read that kept me entertained. Unfortunately I never really connected with the protagonist the way I have in other books by this author. The story was compelling but felt a little far fetched at times, and the ending was a bit abrupt.
I enjoyed the perspective of the daughter with autism, and I found myself turning (virtual) pages quickly to see what would happen next. All in all a fun read but not one that will likely stick in my memory for long.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Meribel is an actress who has a stalker. He was escalating so she took a job in her old home town of Atlanta, GA. She took her daughter and started her new life, but the stalker somehow found out.

I feel like this book picked too many twists. It should have picked one or two and stuck with it. I understand making multiple people the suspect but they were immediately taken out of the picture in the next paragraph. There were a lot of twists, and some of them seemed a little far fetched. Is Meribel a magnet for men who are not well?

That said, I did want to know what happened but it took me a couple hours to sit through the last few chapters.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book definitely dragged a bit for me in places. I enjoyed a few of the characters but for the most part most of them were boring and unrealistic. It took me a while to get through this one and if I hadn’t listened to it on audible I don’t think I would have finished it. I’m giving it three stars because it had its entertaining moments, but there were a lot of slow parts that I felt like could have been edited out. I could see where other people may like it so please take my review lightly. I’ve become picky with thriller genre books so maybe it’s just a personal taste issue

Meriel is famous, but not the kind of famous a celebrity wants. She has to uproot her and her daughter's life because of a stalker. But moving back home means bad memories and new issues.

I love the mystery Joshilyn creates in her characters. The ones you like turn out to be people you don't want to like. The stalker mystery could be anyone and you guess through the whole story until that person is reveled and you think, Who, I don't believe it?

I love the way her stories are a mystery until the end, I haven't been able to guess the bad guy in any of them and they always surprise me, but there are other surprises that I don't see coming that don't necessarily have to do with the main storyline.

I do love the daughter and her being autistic gives us a new diverse character to fall in love with, which I do, I love Honor so much in so many different ways. She is a definite surprise and joyful character to love.
