“Dean Koontz’s ‘The Other Emily’ takes readers on a twisting journey of lost love, impossible second chances, and terrifying promises. A decade ago, Emily Carlino vanished after her car broke down on a California highway. Writer David Thorne, still haunted by her disappearance, meets Maddison Sutton, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Emily. As the fantastic becomes credible, David’s obsession grows, and terror escalates. Koontz weaves a thought-provoking tale that keeps readers guessing until the end.”

I liked it but not as much as other Koontz's books I've read.

Liked the twist at the end-I thought I knew what was coming and then NOPE totally surprised. I just wish the end had been a little less abrupt

I honestly don’t know how I feel about this book. It took me thirteen days to finish it, and I just kept wanting to put it off. The story wasn’t bad, and I was very intrigued by the mystery of it all. But it definitely isn’t one of my favorite books. I decided to give it four stars because I did enjoy the story overall.

Also a huge fan of Koontz’s writing style. I love how he weaves sentences together, and I feel like I’ve added some new words to my vocabulary.
