Un libro bastante entretenido, con un tipo de escritura distinto al que estoy acostumbrada. En especial de las tres historias, la primera y tercera denotan los sentimientos no resueltos de las protagonistas hacia las dos mujeres que ya no se encuentran, admitiendo algunas verdades disonantes que habrían intentado enterrar durante años, pero con la muerte habrían resurgido de nuevo. La segunda historia me dejó con ganas de saber más sobre la familia, la relación que había entre Sarah y Yoshihito y Marie... Pero por lo demás, un libro bastante ligero, que te hace ver cómo cada protagonista lidia con el duelo de esa persona que dejó huella en su vida; incluso después de años sin saber nada de ella.

I'm impressed with the translation, which is one of the better I've seen in a long time! I did like these stories, but found they were sometimes lacking in something, or finished rather abruptly, but I guess this is the nature of short stories. They are but a snippet of a time in life, or an event.
Still, this is a worthy read from Banana Yoshimoto, and I look forward to continuing my way through her work.

banana yoshimoto escribe sobre la pérdida, el luto, la depresión y el sueño. en tres breves relatos habla de cómo el sueño llega a ser una gran compañía cuando sufres una pérdida.
banana yoshimoto escribe mucho sobre perdidas, depresión y luto. la verdad este libro no me impacto, no me molesto pero no trascendió en mi vida. el único que realmente me ha impactado, marcado, acompañado de alguna manera es Kitchen. así que si desean leer a banana yo recomendaría kitchen, este libro pueden ahorrárselo y seguir con su vida just fine

me encantó. no hay una mejor expresión para definir la cantidad de emociones que me hizo sentir, desde a principio a fin la escritura me pareció hermosa y única. no pude dejar de leer, cada página me transportaba a la melancolía que sentían los personajes. el hecho de que las protagonistas sean mujeres y el amor esté tan explícito, hace que cada página sea digna de leer; la última historia sin duda fue de mis favoritas.
