Finally finished this book. I really liked it, but I would have loved an abridged version. When I'm not lost in the pleonasm, I found I love Austin's wit and subtle humour. She is also great at creating likeable and respectable protagonist you want to root for.

All the charms of Austen’s writing appear in her debut novel: witty dialogue; well-developed characters whose traits contrast each other in interesting ways; and satisfying character arcs. I got a lot more out of my re-read than I did from my initial read in high school, and I’m sure I would get more out of future repeat reads as well.
