Gorgeous artwork - better than the Yasha book by a MILE. Fjord's backstory is sad, but ends on a hopeful note. And now I'm dying to find out what the deal was with Sabian. Maybe we'll hear that story one day!

I’m not normally that into graphic novels but I love the CR characters and wanted to support them. This is the first one I’ve read and it explored Fjord’s past in a moving way. I could hear Travis’s voice throughout!

I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately and needed something fun, short, and easy to break me out of it and I think this did the trick just right!!

This was a nice, clean & quick read for fans of Critical Role. Unlike the other Origin stories so far (especially Jester & Caleb's), it didn't really stand alone as its own particularly compelling story, but the art was much more appealing than Yasha's.

CW: If you have any issues with, uh, teeth damage, make sure to skip reading the page after Fjord gets beaten up in the middle of the night. It's not graphic but it's evocative.
