touching, informative, interesting story. Yes, I picked it up because it's about a cat, but I also learned some hieroglyphics as well!

*Beautiful* illustrations, sweet story. Perhaps a bit graphic in the informational section at the back

This was a really cute and very clever picture book! I don't think I've ever read anything from the perspective of an Egyptian queen's cat before and I'm very glad I did give this a read! The illustrations are delightful and colorful, the mummy cat is adorable, and the story is very interesting and multi layered. I could see this being a very fun book to read with kids, especially since the illustrations offer lots of opportunity to find more details and the chance to imagine some more bits for the story. I really enjoyed this a lot.

Rhyming fiction story with strong, detailed illustrations of an ancient Egyptian tomb from a cat's perspective. Back matter includes factual details about mummification and ancient Egypt.
