I really liked all the characters. However, I felt it was so fast at the end. I read one thing and then it skipped to another scene so bluntly that I kind of did a double take. I wish it flowed better at the end.

This was my first F1 book and I loved it! I don’t know much about racing but I love how sentimental the sport is to both main characters.
I love the slow progression of Riggs and Camilla falling in love. I love the level of spice and how it really added to the love story rather than overtaking the entire book.
I think the complexity of the characters was done really well and you didn’t walk away from book wanting more closure or lore answer.
I am excited to continue on in the series as the books gets released and hopefully continue seeing some of these characters in the rest of the series.

Off the Grid is the first book in this new series. Spencer Riggs is following his dream of getting a spot in Formula 1 racing. Camilla is brought back to Formula 1 racing to learn the family business due to her father being sick. Camilla is not Riggs biggest fan after their initial meeting but they were drawn to each other. The connection grows between them and their chemistry is steamy. Their playful banter, workplace romance/bosses daughter and roller coaster of emotions will have you turning the pages.

DNF at 40% I just can’t get into it. I am forcing myself to read it for no reason. I think he’s just kind of slimy not even in a Playboy type but just a douche bag way. And I don’t really feel their tension. Had high hopes, but it fell flat.
Wait his dad dying and him thinking it was because he messed up his cotton candy superstition is so sad (when he was young)
“He reaches out to shake my hand. It feels so formal after we were literally just kissing. But I shake it. “Nice doing business with you.”
We laugh and there’s a moment where we both stare at each other. His eyes darken. His lips part. And then just as surprising as when I kissed him, he cups the back of my neck and brings his mouth down on mine.”
Okay he’s lowkey slimy he only flirted with her cuz he was dared to get the number of the girl least likely to get hit on at the bar and she found out
Wait he like sucks. He called her out for being insecure and hiding her body
Like what:
“I haven’t seen proof of anything yet.”
“Bitch. Bitch. Bitch,” he singsongs while rolling his eyes playfully. “I can show you my skills firsthand.”
