I have a mix feelings about this. I fall in love with the first book and the sequel to it is good . It isn't that good like the first book because I find there some cliche. I think that it could ended with the first book. But still I want to read what's gonna happen in the next book.
I was lucky enough to get an Advanced Reader Copy of Serafina and the Twisted staff. I picked up the first book Serafina and the Black Cloak at an author signing event and was anxiously waiting for the Sequel. Twisted Staff picks up a little after the events in Black Cloak and follows Serafina and Brayden as they face a new threat to Biltmore. Overall, this book was as well written as I expected and left me waiting for the third book in the series. Serafina is one of the best middle grade series I have read in a long time. I would definitely suggest picking this up on its release in July.
I gave the first Serafina novel a higher rating-- I enjoyed it better. This second installment seemed to go on and on forever-- it was much longer. The climax/ending did pull me in, and I found the bits about the "catamounts" to be really interesting.

Despite getting interrupted and reading other books, I really enjoyed this book and am glad I finished it. I can't wait for more!!
I enjoyed the first book but this one felt a bit slow and the Grathen plotline didn't really work out well.
I can't describe how much I loved it. more than the first book.
