When I first started reading this it almost felt like there was back story I was missing, where the plot and characters where jumped into so quickly felt like I missed something. But after the first 100 or so pages I got settled into the book and really fell in love with it. I love a story where a man falls first and hard. There are still some parts of the story where I felt like the writing was confusing, like when Carter was taking photos theres a line where it says he takes the second photo and then 3 paragraphs later it says he takes the second photo again. However overall I still loved it and will probably read again.
As a short girl myself, I can confirm that people of average or above average height do tend to make my shortness a big deal. I know it’s a cliche people tend to not like in books but I actually love it because I feel represented haha.
Overall, I loved this book. I don’t know what I expected going into it but it wasn’t Carter being the goofiest but most sweetest guy ever. Whenever he would “scream” or “shriek” I legit cracked up out loud. I loved his goofiness and ridiculousness so much.
I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
