I did enjoy this book I wasn’t expecting there to be two romances so this threw me off. I would have preferred if the magic system was explained and all of the family members had a time to shine as they were mentioned but not shown. This is the second book by olivie blake and I love her writing style the way she shows emotions 👌. I would like to re read this again with a better understanding of what happens. 

Overall I loved the concept of two family rivalry in modern New York with magic and mafia themes. This is a 4 star read for me
