A very relevant and poignant book, especially in the wake of the UK leaving the EU - really hope Du Maurier hasn't foreseen the future that awaits us...

This reminded me a lot of The Way we live now by Meg Rossoff which is a shame as Rule Britannia was written a lot earlier. I’m always a sucker for alternative histories and this one is all too plausible

Very much enjoyed this. Classic Du Maurier characters but feel and plot was unique. Very poignant, given all the issues and potential troubles with the EU atm.
