The one great thing great you get with Fairstein is tons of history. This was enjoyable read.

Not the best mystery out there, but Fairstein definitely did her research about the shadier aspects of the anthropology/osteology collection..

Listened to the audiobook. I enjoyed this a lot. And I'm apparently listening to them out of order, but oh well. ;)

very dissapointing, defintiely not a thriller, nothing really happens until the last 100 pages. I only read this because of the Lee Child endorsement (I love Lee Child books) but though well written,it was boring and definitely not a thriller. I have two others by her and dont know whether to bother or not now.

This is the fifth book in the series and once again just like the last few books, this one was just ok. I think I'm gonna abandon ship and read something else. I'm just not feeling it with these Alexander Cooper books.

Book #77 read in 2012
I was very disappointed in this book of the series. I think the characters, Alexandra Cooper and Mike Chapman, are some of my favorites of all the series I read. However, Fairstein returns her setting to the art world as she did in book 3 of the series. I have very little knowledge or interest in the art world and this was heavy on explanation, light on character and plot development.

I originally gave this four stars for its nyc setting and nyc history background and the main female character, but I took all my stars back because I cannot separate the artist from the art, and this author defended Harvey Weinstein and is largely held responsible for prosecuting and convicting the children known at the Central Park Five for a rape they didn’t commit.
