I cried a lot reading this book. It was so well written. Though I did find myself skipping through the sex scenes, it was a bit repetitive for me. But all in all, this was pretty amazing. I love Silas so much!

Oh god, these broken boys broke my heart and put it back together. My eyes are burning from how much I cried for them but I absolutely loved the ending. Corey and Silas deserved their HEA so much. I absolutely loved Beautiful Chaos. I'm so glad I read it.

The story was good, but I felt detached from the characters. I can’t put my finger on why, but I just couldn’t connect with them.

Personal Thoughts
This was heavy, but very worthwhile. Lots of heavy topics, content warnings (check those out), but it was an inspiring story between two fucked up men who found each other and helped each other begin to recover.

I liked it because it was different. It brings in topics you don't ever see in romance novels and inspires hope for anyone.

Riley is always hit or miss for me. Some of her novels are perfect 5 stars for me and some fall flat. This fell horribly flat. I understand what the authors were trying to say with this and appreciated the separation period for healing but them getting together in the first phase felt rushed to me. I do think it was well written in regards to how sometimes trauma does work into your kinks but … this just didn’t work for me personally.

It felt more like hurt/hurt with too much sex and not enough falling in love. But Riley seems to do that sometimes with writing by going “we sat and talked” okay well what did they talk about! Show them falling in love. Don’t just tell me they fell in love.

I made myself finish this. Never a great feeling.
