To put it simply, this book is amazing! From the first page I was hooked and I enjoyed every second of it. Each book Parker writes just gets better and better. She poured her soul into this book and you can feel it as you read. I loved Bastian and Ariana and O.M.G. their chemistry was on fire, their love was slow burn and it was perfect! They tested each other and Ariana gave to Bastian exactly what he needed, while Bastian showed Ariana what she was missing! I love how Parker continues to use quotes at the beginning of each chapter, it really resonates with the message she is trying to send with all of her books and is thought provoking. I love how she interconnects all of her books and we keep getting to see all of her amazing characters from different perspectives. I can't wait to read Renata Vitali next and find out more about her!

Loving to know all about the characters from The Five Syndicates. Although I’ve loved all of the books previous to this one, I think Bastiano is my favorite. Ary is so lost and finds many people to love. Tessie is such a clever child and the sweetest. Great book❤️

Bastiano Romano did not disappoint, I loved the banter between Batiano and Ari!

What an exciting and steamy enemies to lovers romance. Ariana DeLuca is an undercover FBI agent, going undercover to get information about the Romano family. She starts working for Bastiano Romano, and the sparks fly immediately! Bastiano is rude and mean and Ariano fights him at every turn. They can't believe how much they both love the push/pull between them and their banter is their foreplay leading to some very hot passion. But as they get to know each other, they realize how similar they are. They both feel lost and adrift, not knowing who they are, but they see each other soul deep. But they are both keeping secrets that could break their trust and put both their lives in danger. This was a thrilling and steamy story with heartpounding twists and turns that kept me engaged from start to finish. My heart broke for both Ariana and Bastiano as they tried to move past expectations to find their way to each other. I especially loved the twist at the end.
Narrators Kylie Stewart, and DC Cole did a great job bringing these characters and story to life. Stewart nailed Ariana's sassy, independent, yet vulnerable personality. Cole showed the transformation of the cold, and domineering Bastiano finding trust and love again. I enjoyed both their performances as they made this story even better.

Slow Burn, leicht enemies to lovers.

Ms. Huntington is a new to me author.
So I didn’t know her what her writing style would be or how she develops her characters.
She got and held my attention from the very first paragraph.
This book is written in duel pov which I like because I get to understand the characters better and be privy to their inner thoughts and the feelings they are going through.
Bastiano is a Mafia Prince, who is loyal to his family and their well being.
He’s a dirty mouth alpha with no boundaries.
But Bastian is an angry bitter man when it comes to love.
The burn and betrayal of his last relationship his left a crater in his heart.
Ariana is a strong young lady that works undercover for the FBI.
But somewhere along the line she’s lost her inner self.
When these two damaged people come together their fears and anger simmers and slowly rises to the surface where it bubbles and explodes.
The saying there’s a fine line between love and hate that’s the line Bastian and Ariana are walking.
Great storyline and plot and the characters are very well developed.

i can't believe exactly how much i liked this. parker s. huntington did it in the end, and i couldn't be happier about it. “bastiano romano” is not only the best book in “the five syndicates” series—so far, at least—but their best book, period. i'm FLOORED.
i have a very complicated relationships with parker s. huntington's works, but this—i can't say nothing if good things about this. i deserved such a good book after how underwhelming “ranieri andretti”'s novella was, if i do say so myself.
i had sky–high expectations for bastiano and ariana since the very beginning, because the undercover agent / criminal trope is just so good. i hoped parker s. huntington would do it justice, and i have to say once again i was not disappointed. maybe the ending–slash–conflict resolution was a little rushed, but other than that i really had lots of fun with this book.
it had such a good depiction of grief, which is something i find i can never be enough grateful for. now let's hope the rest of the series doesn't disappoint me!

This series... Holy Cow

With every book I read by this author I fall deeper down the rabbit hole. I devour her words as if they were essential to me breathing.

This book started slower at first but it is by far my favorite. There are so many things at play that it is staggering how the author ties it all together. There are sacrifices that are made (boy howdy are there ever) in order for fate to play its hand.

The characters were sublime. Watching them discover the themselves and no longer being alone. Priceless. The anticipation was insane and the true steam didn't appear until later than normal for romance books but sweet lawd it was hot. Yet, it was their connection that truly was fate that did me in.

I cannot wait for the next in this series. Definitely one of my favorite books of 2019.
