Such a lovely book! It's been a while since I've read a Fantasy Romance book that can be this funny. Comedy is there, and all the characters are so likable.

King of Tricksters, the second book, continues the story of Rain and Night (and whilst their story concludes in this book, the series continues featuring other characters that we recognise!) and does so incredibly well. Great characters, great worldbuilding, cool magic and a lovely slow burn chemistry. Character development continues beautifully, the plot develops and becomes higher stakes and has some beautiful twists. And that slow burn romance. Yum! The conclusion is epic and perfect. I'm so glad there's plenty of books in this series!
Meh. I thought it would be a fae romance. What I ended up being was more like a tactical war book with a bit of sex. Not romantic at all.
