I really loved this book. It took me a little while to read as it's a slow read, but I didn't want to rush it. Everything about this book had me hooked. The descriptions of the trail and places she visited made me want to go and the growth Cheryl Strayed made me root for her

I am really surprised by some of the negative reviews of this book. It wasn't perfect, but it was pretty darn good. Maybe because I am going through a life change now and can totally understand a person's need to be totally alone to figure it all out?
I think what I liked most about the book is Cheryl's transparency. She shares all of her decisions, the good and the bad. She is honest about how she is able to learn from each decision. While I cannot empathize with her lifestyle choices (drugs, sleeping around), I get why she did it.
I don't know, but something about this book spoke to me. I want to be the girl who takes off on a crazy adventure.
