This book revolves around searching and destroying the Horcrux which means that the duel of Voldemort and Harry is about to come. Other than providing a further history of Hogwarts and especially for Tom Riddle, the teenage stage of getting in love hit Harry, Ron and Hermione adding some spark to the story. Encountering the mysterious Half-blood prince, Harry's abomination doubled when he found out who is it.

I must say Rowling played her part very well as an author of this book. As having the 6th series, she never failed in making this utterly remarkable with its fantastic mystery.

Harry's still a moron, but at least he's shouting less than he did in book 5. And no, guessing even partly right does not make his wild assumptions and weird obsession with Malfoy any less moronic. Despite the issues I have with Harry's character, the climax of the story carried the emotions excellently and I enjoy this book quite a lot. The focus on romance was clunky and awkward, but the war beginning added a tension to the plot that carried it.

This series is now forever altered by the author's, uh, extracurricular writings, but in many ways I think I'll still be able to treasure what they meant to me throughout my childhood. Death of the author and all that. Ideals like equity, honesty, open-mindedness, and a deep curiosity in the world around me were fostered through the many books I read growing up. I look at them much more analytically and critically as an adult, but that doesn't change or take away from the good that reading them as a child has given me.

Harry Potter needs to find the owner of a magical book he acquired. He also became obsessed with knowing where Draco is or what he's doing. At the end of the book, a main character encountered an unfortunate event and kinda made the DA uprising strengthen.

This didn't take me too long but it wasn't as action filled as I expected it would be. More than half the book was spent on Harry obsessing with Draco and him not knowing what to do with his own feelings.

I didn't realize I was THAT emotionally attached to Dumbledore and then he died. Cue me sobbing.
