I finished this last night but felt so numb after that I couldn't think of what to write here. I enjoyed this one more than the previous, but it is so far the darkest of the series.

Despite having Sheldon Cooper spoil the big thing for me in this while watching big bang theory (when he spoiled it for Leonard), I had kind of forgotten it and had no idea it would go down how it did. In a way it's good that it went down how it did but man that was so tough to get through.

Harry had a lot of adult putting even more weight and responsibly on his shoulders and honestly has more expected of him than anyone else in this universe. It was annoying that everyone and the kitchen sink knew that there was more information that Dumbledore was keeping from Harry but no way to figure it out. Interesting to see Harry with a new perspective with Ginny and Slughorn. Ginny plays such a bigger part than the movies let on!

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book, where we get to see both prime ministers interact. We got to see Voldemort's family history, which was interesting. The scene where Harry kisses Ginny after Griffyndor wins their match was so cute! He breaks up with her after Dumbledor's funeral so that she is not targeted, but Ginny understands and says it's why she loves him. Aww! I like Fleur now that she yelled at Molly, insisting that she would still marry Bill even with his face scarred. It was a great moment! Overall, I liked this book more than the previous ones where the three friends are constantly fighting (mostly Ron).

"It was, he thought, the difference between being dragged into the arena to face a battle to the death and walking into the arena with your head held high. Some people, perhaps, would say that there was little to choose between the two ways, but Dumbledore knew - and so do I, thought Harry, with a rush of fierce pride, and so did my parents - that there was all the difference in the world."

Aaaaah. This was so good. I think it's my favorite one so far... the relationship drama, the high school drama, the Voldemort drama... it was all so juicy and I loved it so much. And this book was gut wrenching too. Like... what in the twists and turns, and how does she come up with things like this??? I can't believe I only have one book left. I'm not ready to say goodbye. At least I can binge the movies after this...
