This book is better than Order of the Phoenix. It still has a decent amount that could have been cut but at least it isn’t 600 pages until we get to the plot this time. I do understand where Drarry fans come in as Harry is very obsessed with Draco in this book. I get the reasoning but Harry also learn to let things go honey. I do enjoy the plot of this book and it is entertaining for the most part.

Reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was one of the most rewarding experiences of the year. I’m already looking forward to my next movie marathon, now with a much deeper understanding of the characters and story.

Harry is more focused and determined, which brings a whole new depth to his character. The scenes with Dumbledore are particularly touching, revealing a closer partnership and mutual trust. It’s moving to see how much their relationship has evolved throughout the series.

Moreover, the development of characters like Hermione, Ron, and Hagrid is done masterfully. The interactions among the main trio show the strength of the friendship they’ve built over the years and the challenges they face together. Hagrid, as always, brings a touch of warmth and humor that balances the intensity of the narrative.

Overall, this book and The Goblet of Fire are without a doubt my favorites so far. Each one brings something unique and fascinating to the Harry Potter universe, making the reading journey unforgettable.

Finally getting some more backstory for Voldemort’s character as well as the introduction of horcruxes were such good inclusions that prove how expansive this world can truly be.
