I almost did 4 stars. When thinking about it I realized it may be 3 stars because it felt rather long, I understand there were small things to set up along the way that made it longer. I think the back and forth between Kai and Pae also made it feel long. Overall I really did enjoy the story and definitely wanted to know what was happening.

Frustratingly written like a reader who wants to have everything in one book. Every loose end feels like hastily added in this one final book for it to have all the possible things a reader would want. It feels sloppy. Even the epilogue feels forced, just to have another “good feeling” ending.
