Okay so the ending of this book was actually so shocking however, I did have a lot of trouble actually getting into this for some reason. Just trying to actually read the beginning of this was kind of challenging for me but otherwise it was a great book. Paedyn and Kai!!!! Kai has got to be one of the best male love interests I’ve read, like actually, he is so romantic and surprisingly poetic. The way he would do anything for her and she would do anything for him makes them such a good couple. But Kitt was a big shock, I don’t know how I was so surprised. Honestly I should’ve known he was too nice and forgiving, also with how much he wanted to please his father. But his madness at the end was so heartbreaking to see, on the other hand it set Kai and Paedyn up great where they can actually be together and not a secret. I’m so glad Paedyn and Kitt weren’t married long, once I found out they were half siblings it got so weird. Anyways this was amazing, I’m kind of sad it’s over but especially reading the epilogue it was such a cute ending.

Excellent conclusion. This series is so good and it gets so much hate but I ate it up. Kai and Pae are fucking adorable. I hope they reign for 100 years and have 100 ordinary babies. The demise of Kitt was devastating and his epologue was kinda weird but

This was an amazing finale to the series. I have been shocked, in disbelief, ready to throw my phone and have cried sad and happy tears. Such a wonderful job making the story captivating and kept me guessing trying to figure out all the answers. Absolutely LOVED the whole series ♥️

I was rooting for you. We were all rooting for you! And what did you give me? The slowest, most drawn-out, underwhelming finale to a trilogy that once held so much promise I practically cleared my schedule for it.

I spent the entire book yelling at Kit—like my dude, please! The decisions, the logic, the lack of growth?? I kept hoping for some real, meaningful character development, not just from her, but from the entire cast. And even the moments that were meant to show growth felt paper-thin and surface-level. It was like watching characters spin in circles, learning nothing and going nowhere.

The pacing? Glacial. The big twist? More of a soft shrug than a gasp. And the rest? It kind of fizzled out like a soda left open overnight.

That said, I am glad with how it ultimately ended—I’ll give it that. But emotionally? I’m wrung out. I need a sweet treat, a nap, and possibly therapy. Honestly, I deserve an award for finishing this. But hey, I got my extra Goodreads point, and at this point, that’s the real win.
