I really fell in love with the characters. Poston is great at writing interesting people and honest interpretations of grief without being brutal or passive or insincere. Plus, the Florence and Benji cameos from The Dead Romantics were such a cute surprise!
I think the technical aspects of the time-traveling don't make all too much sense (and aren't ever really explained), but I enjoy the story and characters so much that it's easy to suspend my disbelief.

This book (both premise and execution) is magical. It was most everything I hoped it would be with an added exploration of grief that I thought was so well done. I wanted a little more time with our couple in the end to really sit in those emotions which is why it doesn’t get a full 5 stars from me, but it was so close.
Update: I can’t stop thinking about this book. I want everyone to read it but can’t give up my copy to anyone else in case I want to reread it. Definitely 5 stars (5/19/2024)
