I found this very slow to begin with. It took me until 60% of the way through to get pulled into it. After that it was brilliant. Would recommend if you don't mind a slow starter

What I Did Like:
+This is a dark, dangerous, and morally corrupt villain. That’s always fun.
+Engaging courtroom scenes. I can’t speak to their accuracy, as I’m not involved in law at all, but they’re captivating.
+Good characters. They’re a little overdramatic, perhaps, but they’re decent. I could easily see following a few of them for multiple books without getting annoyed.
Who Should Read This One:
-Fans of shows like Law and Order will like the dramatic case and the cast of characters.
My Rating: 3 Stars
Enjoyable courtroom thriller if you’re capable of suspending disbelief.

Reading a book that’s 4th in a series and it still making sense? Good
That book also being enjoyable? Great
I really enjoyed this book, it was paced well and the twists were executed fantastically. The dual POV really kept me guessing.
What’s stopped it being a 5 star for me was the inserted bits about the lawyers family life and friends, but I guess this is necessary as part of a series - would have been fantastic as a standalone though!
