Love Love Love. This series is just perfect. I am so happy and emotionally distraught at the same time for the ending of this trilogy. I can't recommend this series enough, I had such an amazing time and I am sad to leave these characters.
I still love Dara, he is crappy and wonderful at the same time. I felt his heartbreak and his confliction throughout this entire book. I just wanted him to find the right path so badly and find his peace.
We follow Nahri and Ali journey trying to get back to Daevabad and I loved it. I loved the growth in both their characters. I just can't swoon over all three of these characters enough.
Then there is just how rich this world is and how amazing Chakraborty is as an author. She does an amazing job pulling in the reader that they feel like they are there. I find myself now just thinking about different scenes of this Trilogy and bringing me so much joy that I want to just go back and read it all over again.
I will be definitely picking up anything this author writes. She is incredible.

It's been quite some time, over a few years at least, that I've started book one of a trilogy, and had to go buy the other two immediately so I don't have to wait.
Oof I love Nahri. I miss her.
All the death and killing and violence was a lot but not in detail so I could skim--those daeva were already in the background, so I didn't have to picture a lot of that anguish.
Such flawed, authentic characters.

Excellent book, very good very good. I like the linking with the marid and the writing around their realm was amazing. I want a shedu, and I want to see the peace they made. My only qualms were nahri had so much magic and you didn't really see it in the fight (but I guess that was the point, her magic is to heal), feels like some very open ends (the peris), and I wanted to see some of the future they were working towards (and ali and nahri). I would recommend in a heartbeat and will be easy to move on from the series.
