Good for self-love of eyes that kiss in the corners.
Generational connections from MC to mom, grandma, and little sister.

“When Mama tucks me in at night, her eyes tell me I’m a miracle. In those moments when she’s all mine, flecks of dancing gold tell me I’m hers too.”

I love reading children's books. They're always so uplifting and always have this really wholesome message and fun story to tell. The artwork in this is beautiful, too.

I don't remember where I first heard about this book, but I know it's one I've been wanting to read for a while. The imagery is perfection - the comparison of her eyes to cups of warm tea and oolong pools, the strong connection to family and to stories. The artwork on the cover is beautiful, and while I listened to the audiobook, I can only imagine the artwork on the inside pages being just as lovely. At the very least I'd like to see the ebook, but I would love to have a paper copy to hold in my hands.

Eyes that Kiss the Corners is such a beautifully written and illustrated heartwarming book that celebrates the beauty of an Asian girl and her family's eyes. It so lightly and fluidily tells us the strength of cultural identity. Through poetic prose and captivating imagery, it reminds readers of the power and importance of embracing one's heritage and unique characteristics. This book is a must-read for anyone looking to be uplifted and inspired by the magic that lies within our own eyes

Stunning illustrations. I would have loved this book as a child. Very enjoyable still as an adult.
