i realllly liked this. Now I need to be true and say that Julia Whelan can make me love any book she is the best narrator in the game. So I definitely think this book gets extra points from her narration.
But! It was also quite cozy. The romance was sweet and had realistic dialogue and conflict. There we’re secondary characters that didn’t just feel like a plot device. And there was more to the story than just the romance.
Would recommend and want to read another by this author.

If you don’t like romance, this will be too tropey. If you do, you’ll know this isn’t one. It’s about two characters who saunter vaguely into a relationship. I found it so boring and a total slog.

I really enjoyed this. I don't have much to say about it except that it was cute and quick to read.

Evvie Drake Starts Over is an endearing story of a woman who is trying to get her life "back on track" after the loss of her husband. It was a feel-good story that was also able to cover some important topics like loss, relationships, mental health, and new beginnings.

I enjoyed that this was a romance book that was actually relatable and the main characters had regular issues they had to acknowledge and address. I appreciated that the issues were not only highlighted but dealt with and this made this book so much stronger. This also added some much-needed depth while also having plenty of light-hearted moments.

I look forward to reading more by Linda Holmes in the future! Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine Books for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Aww I loved this one. So sweet, and the author is so good at setting a scene and getting into the emotions. Such an excellent debut!

If you are looking for escapism in a puffy hallmark-esque read, this is the book for you.

Honestly, reading this felt like curling up in a comfy blanket and watching a Hallmark movie. The characters are likable and realistic. They show growth and handle their issues like adults. Really refreshing, cozy read. 5/5⭐. I miss them already.
