LOVED this novella. I thought this one worked better as a novella than The Young Queens (which I believe deserves a full-length book). I was so invested from the very beginning. Can't wait to read more books set in this world!

I didn’t expect to like this as much as i did, not even joking. After reading RW&RB i didn’t feel like reading anything anymore and i thought that i was probably on a reading slump, but then while i was searching for books, i saw Three Dark Crowns and i saw that it has novellas set before the first book, so why not, and i loved this book so much.

I know that Elsabet was gonna go mad and everything, and i was suffering while reading it because it was so unfair that was how she was gonna be in the end, when she didn’t deserve any of what happened to her. She was so sweet, and i was so mad how her brother betrayed her that way and how her husband too. So mad that it was only her two friends and Jonathan that were there for her, and so sad that they all died.

Overall, a great short novella, and good before reading the next books i would say.

God I loved that

I actually didn't think that I would be as invested in this as I was, because they keep bringing her story up and I was never interested in it because there was never a point to it, but now I know and poor Elabet was framed and to this day no one has proved that she's innocent and just wanted what was best, and love from her friends and family. I love that we got our triplets at the beginning, and Mira saying that she didn't like the song because she didn't think it was nice because it's not and I don't think that Mira would stand for any of this if she found out the truth. Gods, now I just want Mira finding out that it was an Aaron's fault and getting the law on Oracle queens revoked? Could you imagine how much that would change everything?

I really enjoyed learning more about the background and history of this series with this novella. Reading about what ACTUALLY happened with the oracle queen was a great edition to the series and made me want to start reading the series!
