I love the world Kendare Blake has crafted and this novella has made me so excited for book three. September needs to come faster already. The characters in this novella were captivating and I felt so bad for Elsabet. I love this series.

I wanted more. The Oracle Queen was a let down, and I’m still not a fan of novellas.

Always question and investigate history, keeping a keen eye on the individuals who write it.

Great! Engrossing but frustrating. No happy ending - no justice. Only betrayal.

Okay, but not as visceral as the others in the series.

Well I like that it started with Queen Mirabella and carries out the story of Elsabeth. This is a quick read and simple. It's not that worthy of 4* but I like Kendare Blake and the Queens...so..

Well written and interesting but depressing as hell, especially knowing she will never be vindicated, 500 years later, and seer babies are killed at birth still.

For me, the series that accompanies this novella is a 3. I like it, it’s interesting but I probably won’t reread the books again. This novella however was fantastic. I love the twist on the lore from the series. And how everything fell into place for the ending was brilliant. This I might purchase for myself so I can go back and look for hints clues and foreshadowing.
