I really like these Voices books. They spotlight creators of color and from the LGBTQ+ community. This one is kind of a sampler of Voices comics including superheroes of color and an overview of heroes in the LGBTQ community. I liked what I read, but it is just a sampler and did not really flesh out some of the stories. I did like the message that Moon Girl's story shared about progress. Her future self tells her, "The truth is you're going to see some of the worst things you'll ever imagine. But you'll see some of the best too. Progress gets made and lost. But we're further each time." I think this speaks to all of the struggles for social justice and sends a hopeful message in discouraging times
