“Kiss the sky with me,” Connor whispers, a beautiful smile pulling at his lips, “and don’t ever come down.”

Begging on my knees to change the prophecy because I need a Connor Cobalt in my life like I need air.

Six months, six people, three cameramen, one reality show. What could go wrong? Apparently, everything. Kiss the Sky follows the plot after the ending of Addicted for Now. This book focuses on Rose and Connor, and you have to believe me when I tell you there is no one like them—either in the real world or the fictional one. Or you can just read for yourself. Kiss the Sky is both a character-driven and plot-focused story. I was engrossed by it—the way Rose and Connor's story unfolded, how they met, and how they became more than just rivals to lovers. I don’t know if I want to be like them or be with them because they are probably the smartest people in the world.

“All I’ve ever wanted to do was be on your team, Rose.” I laugh as I remember. “You, Miss Highest Honours, were the one who chose to be my rival by attending Princeton.”
She tilts her head. “I like competing against you.” She sits up on her elbows, her lips so close to mine as she says, “But I like being your teammate more.”
“Me too, darling.”
Me too.

Connor Cobalt is right. He is God. He is an enigma. He is a genius. A masterpiece. Connor Cobalt has bewitched my mind with his intelligence, words, beliefs, commitment, confidence, and self-assuredness. A selfish man who gets what he wants by any means, loves humans, and isn’t defined by some meagre words. He loves domination in and outside the bedroom and loves adopting cats. Yes, I am in love. The way he voices his thoughts and opinions is an enchanting and hypnotising experience. The man is the definition of perfection and a gentleman. But perfection doesn’t always mean he is without flaws, and Connor has his own. He may not be the most forthcoming when it comes to his own feelings and emotions, but he definitely makes an effort for Rose and his friends. Seriously, is there a guide on how to be like Connor Cobalt or how to snatch a man like him? Because I desperately need it. And the way Connor loves, even though he spent most of his life in delusion believing the opposite, is insane and otherworldly. He can mould himself into any personality people want from him, and that’s his power—along with his abundant confidence. My words will never be enough to describe who Connor Cobalt is because you cannot define this man.

“People hope to touch the sky. I dream of kissing it.”

Rose Calloway is an inspiration. I aspire to be like her in the future. If you know me, then you probably know she is one of my top favourite female protagonists. Rose is incredible—strong, powerful, and devious—all wrapped up in one smart, driven, and passionate woman. She carries herself with great pride and elegance, and it is nothing short of fascinating. People call her the ice queen, and she will probably kill anyone with her six-inch heels, but I just adore every facet of her personage. She challenges people, she bites people, and she never backs down from any challenge. Rose may have a bitter and ice-cold personality, but she loves hard and with her whole soul, which is apparent in the way she loves her sisters. She is an amazing sister—probably the best in the world. Rose autonomously carried everything on her shoulders at the start, but she slowly found a way to rely on Connor for little things and even willfully opened her arms for help and support. That is an amazing character development on her behalf.

“He may not believe in fate, but I do. And I know I’m fated to be with him.”

Connor and Rose
Rivals. Lovers. Gods.

Rose and Connor are the antithesis of one another—their beliefs on love and cynicism vary, but that’s what makes them so fascinating and captivating. Rose loves to glare at Connor, keeping him on his toes to annoy him, and Connor loves to grin at her just to rile her up—to see that spark of fire in her eyes. Rose is the ice queen, while Connor exudes warmth and confidence because he is a manipulator. Their rivalry, their love, their dynamics, their chemistry—everything is top-tier. Their love story is delightful, brilliant, and utterly engrossing—perfectly constructed and balanced with sweet, spicy, and emotional moments. I am simply entranced by them. There is not a single unremarkable moment about them. Their madcap banter, witty repartee, burning and palpable tension and desire, and unmatched communication skills add nuance to their bond. Even the way they flirt is clever and riveting. I was swooning every time.

“You’re not a pit stop. You’re my finish line. There’s no one after you.”

Their love-hate dynamics are written perfectly. Their she’s glaring but he’s grinning moments are my kryptonite. I loved how they showed their vulnerability to each other over time, given their independent natures. The way Rose loves Connor even when he wasn’t ready to love her, and the way Connor holds Rose with so much love, devotion, reassurance, and care—how he helped her step out of her comfort zone. They are equals in every manner. She helped him realise there’s more to life than just stoicism, and he helped her find the power within herself to move forward in life.

“I’ve wanted so many things in life,” he says softly, “but you’re the one that has meant the most to me.”
Translation: I love you.

I loved seeing Lily and Loren from Rose and Connor’s point of view. They both love Lilo, and I love how they would move heaven and earth to help them. I loved Ryke and Daisy’s friendship a lot, but I don’t like it when it takes a sexual turn every other minute. My heart broke for Daisy and how lonely and helpless she feels. I loved seeing the core six together in this book.

“We’ve become something of a family. A dysfunctional, fucked-up family. It’s hard to let that go.”

Core six forever and ever.

Samantha Calloway and Scott Van Wright should burn in hell for eternity. Scott is the breathing and living example of why women hate men.

I absolutely loved the ending, but the Ritchie sisters robbed us of a Coballoway wedding. I mean, imagine them exchanging vows in a very poetical and epic way. I NEEDED THAT CHAPTER!

I have read many romance books, but I have never read a book about a powerful and intelligent couple like Rose Calloway and Connor Cobalt. Kiss the Sky is one of my all-time favourite books, and rereading it—experiencing Rose and Connor’s love story again—was everything.

I don’t think I can get enough of this series because they already feel like a family and it’s only the fourth book

Me gusto mucho el libro aunque hubo partes donde iba tan lento que lo único que quería era terminarlo. Pero me gusto mucho la historia porque fue una que me hizo enojar, llorar y reír. Además Connor Cobalt es un dios en mis ojos

Can officially declare that I am smarter than all of you hoes because I was guess what Connor was saying before he even said it.

Reading Richard Connor Cobalt be a simp for majority of the book was the best thing ever. And then (expectedly) being FANTASTIC at everything else in and out of the bedroom, really beating those asexual allegations.

Loved Rose, loved Connor, loved everybody (obviously not the obvious people), wish that we got more Lilo because Lili is my favourite person ever.

Also gimme that sex tape!

Definitely the best book this far in this series. I really enjoyed Connor and Rose, their personalities and relationship. Especially Rose, she really doesn’t take shit from anyone and that isn’t so common with woman protagonist.

I wasn’t so comfortable with the BDSM things but I’m no one to kink shame. Looking forward to the other books.

My only little ick was how quick Rose changed her mind about children. It took two conversations that wasn’t really that deep or convincing. “I know you will be a good mother” 😐
