This is a collection of some of the essays John wrote reviewing things in our human centric world on the podcast with the same name, combining his personal prospective and a bit of history - each time I hear these things I learn something new (or re-learn them again).

On a 5-star scale (which is what Goodreads limits me too) I give this 5-stars, but really the Green bothers (they both write) deserve more

And side note - I also love the intro to the movie Penguins of Madagascar, probably the best part of the Madagascar francise

loved it. i really enjoyed hearing John Green's perspective on the world. i also related to a lot of his experiences with anxiety and struggling with mental health.

An ode to earnestness and paying close attention.

I read it because it’s by John Green. I don’t like it because I don’t like memoirs. I still enjoyed it though.

Always re-listening to certain essays. Auld Lang Syne specifically.
