Grace has got to be one of my favorite... modern, completely believable, protagonist heroes, and her child River is a close second. They are both so much fun to be with and every reaction and action that they take resonates with truth and is relatable. Oh, and often supremely funny.

The story itself chugs along efficiently and while enjoyable enough the central plot maguffin never quite came together for me. At the end I'm still sorta scratching my head about what exactly happened but it was still an entertaining, fast and painless ride - and remember, there's Grace & River, well, they are both rock stars and worth the price for every gem of a chapter that they are in. Plus Kathy gets honorable mention as best supporting character for the two of them.

This story was about a girl named Allison from a small town called Bellefontaine in Logan County Ohio. She grew up like most kids in the Midwest and once she graduated high school she went to college to become a teacher. Pretty average life till one day she's at a park and is forced at gunpoint into a van. This is when things get weird.

Overall it wasn't a bad book and it asked some fun questions about the nature of time and the possibility of alternate time lines. But to be honest this subject has become a popular one in speculative sci-fi and Blake Crouch covered it way better. Quick and fun read but I doubt I'll remember it a week from now.
