I’ve said this before with E.L. Lewis’s last 2 releases and I’ll say it again…. I don’t know what crack she puts in her book that makes me this feral! I ate this up in one sitting and left no crumbs! It’s giving Grease but Danny Zuko is a sexy biker gang leader with a dirty mouth that’s loyal to his family! Like sign me up!

This entire book was just straight up fun vibes with a southern belle FMC x biker gang MMC dynamic and I ate it up. This is definitely lighter than the author’s typical dark/mafia romances (although some serious themes are still touched on) and I loved what she was doing here! I need more romcoms like this from her.
I absolutely adored Savannah. She’s so funny, such a sweetheart, had a lot of fight in her. I really liked her humor and overall character arc. I don’t know if it’s just me but I keep reading her dialogue in a southern accent. Her relationship with her brother was really sweet and wholesome because she cares so much for him. Also really enjoyed the found family vibes in a small town setting as Sav became acquainted with the MC gang and got over her own misconceptions.
The romance between Jesse and Sav definitely started as a slowburn but moved faster than I expected. I loved them together. However, I wanted more from it! The banter and tension was definitely there but things resolved way too quickly after the third act conflict. I would have preferred some chapters in Jesse’s POV too.
The story does have the typical cliches, some minor plot holes, and a slightly predictable plot twist. But it didn’t significantly affect the reading experience because I was having too much fun with this book from the start😌.
I wanted to see more of the gang subplots/conflicts but I get that is written more as a romcom. The other characters were very likable with enough depth and I wouldn’t mind if this became a series👀 Beau and Mar’s story would be interesting to read about tbh because I’m intrigued by them.
TYSM to the author for providing this eARC!!!

/// Nothing’s ever perfect, Sav. Once you’ve accepted that, life becomes much easier to live. ///
Did someone say Hart of Dixie X Sons of Anarchy?! Count me in! Thank you to the author for an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the concept of this book and am a big fan of motorcycle club stories. I thought the romantic comedy take on an MC club book was fun – the others I’ve read have been on the darker side.
There was some good banter in this book, especially between Savannah and Jesse, the MCs, although I felt it was a bit overdone at times. I really struggled with the FMC and her maturity level, although it did fall in line with the spoiled beauty pageant queen role.
The found family was a great bonus and I didn’t see the twist coming, which was great! Overall, this is a great fun read if you’re looking for something on the lighter side!

ARC Review:
I was so excited when I read the summary for this book, and it lived up to the hype! The writing was fantastic and I fell in love with the characters almost immediately.
The FMC, Savannah, is a beauty queen, and could have easily been a character I wouldn’t have liked. But she’s sassy, stubborn, and extremely loyal to those she cares about. I just love the way she learns to stand up for herself, especially against the one person she’s been controlled by her entire life.
And JP? Holy gods is he a great book boyfriend. Even when they first meet, and he wants nothing to do with her, he still makes sure she’s safe and protected.
I loved their immediate love/hate chemistry, and seeing their growth, both together and individually, was such a fun journey.
I think my absolute favorite part, hands down, was the pink glitter. IYKYK
Overall, I absolutely loved this book, and highly recommend you give it a read!

She’s a Southern Belle, and he’s a bad boy in a biker gang. They shouldn’t exist in each other’s worlds, and yet due to some shocking circumstances, they’ve found themselves drawn to each other. They say opposites attract, but are Jesse and Savannah too different to have a happily ever after?
This was such a fun read! If you love men on motorcycles, you’ll love this. I will admit that this book certainly has some cliches about biker gangs, but it was grounded in reality enough for me to still really enjoy the story. I really loved seeing the character growth in Savannah, maybe more than I loved the actual romance in the story. This was super entertaining and I hope we see more books set in this storyline! Also, the book dedication alone was enough to move me emotionally.
Tropes: Opposites Attract, Forced Proximity, Found Family, Bad Boy + Good Girl
Trigger Warnings: Gang Violence, Eating Disorders, Calorie Counting, Gun Violence
Big thank you to E.L. Lewis for sending me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All words are my own.

Sweet, spicy and funny! E.L. Lewis knocked it out of the park with this fun take on the opposites-attract, MC world romcom! I didn’t expect to laugh or swoon as much as I did knowing it was set in an MC universe- but the focus is so strong on the character development and relationships that the MC becomes secondary (in a refreshing way!). Savannah feels like someone I would never expect to relate to, but in the end she’s forced to make choices we can all understand. Jesse is the biggest Cinnamon Roll that just somehow meshes with the MC VP role in a lovely way and makes me want a Jesse for myself! 🥰

I absolutely loved reading Darlin'. Savannah is a sassy and assertive beauty queen who refuses to back down. And JP is the tough biker (who is as sweet as a marshmallow on the inside) who begrudgingly gives her a place to stay because of her brother.
The author has done a phenomenal job weaving this story together and crafting dialogue and an inner POV for the FMC that is on point for a Southern belle caught up in the MC lifestyle. It also is laugh out loud funny!!
I read this book in less than 24 hours ... completely devoured it! Thanks for letting me be an ARC reader!!
