I got very lost in this book and ended up finishing it by the end of the day! It was interesting to be able to see everything brought together. I loved the personal touch that was added to this book with the relationship between the author and the family. I can honestly say this was one of my favorite true crime books I have read so far this year

The start was based more on emotion than facts. It's alread  such a sad case, and this made it harder to be able to read it.

Clunky writing that read like a high school English paper and full of cliches. Felt… saccharine? Manipulative to make the reporter look very caring about the victims families? Can’t put my finger on what was so off putting about her writing.
