This is everything it claims to be. I laughed and cried at this very entertaining and well written book.

Lizzie is so real and likable that I'd love her as my best friend. The journey both she and Jake go on is both funny and steamy, with plenty of angst and embarrassing moments thrown in. I loved Jake too and seeing his battle between nice guy and cynical. The book is really entertaining, the plot well thought through and fast paced and the characters are both delightful and believable. It is written from both POV's, helping you get an insight into both main characters, I liked this as I understood their feelings and the decisions they made.

I stayed up late to finish this book, it's a real page turner, with a very different story line (in a good way ) , well written characters and plenty of unexpected elements.

Hilarious!

This was such a fun and hilarious read! I enjoyed the storyline and found the main characters relatable and human. I will read more by this author in the future. This book was available for $0.00 on Amazon and I thought I'd give it a chance and I'm glad I did.

Fun

This was a fun read. I loved the tension and frustration and how they were resolved at a good pace. While I could predict the climax of the conflict, it was satisfying all the same.

I was looking for a quick read, and Bet Me is the quick and light book that I was looking for. It was full of steam, funny moments, and ultimately love. I liked Lizzie enough. And as a single girl who still somehow believes in love I completely sympathized with her dating front. I really liked Jake. I liked that he was cocky, but deep down he was a sweet guy. His relationship with his grandfather was adorable. When the book first started I kept thinking about was how I could see this book as a movie. I enjoyed the plot, although the whole world caring about a drunk girls rant to have a sex strike was a little far fetched. I absolutely hated Jakes sleezy friend, there's no way I'd ever be friends with him in the long run.
The whole money for whoever breaks the stike annoyed my soul. All I could think of was "that's like prostitution"! I mean like kind of. I didn't really care for any of the secondary characters, Skye was beyond annoying, definitely in need of a reality check! My favorite part of the book besides anything to do with Hank, was the California trip.

This book was free on Amazon a while ago, I got it thinking the plot sounded cute, and maybe I'd get to it one day. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, and after reading this I would be open to it. Especially if they were free.

3 stars ✨ for both the fact that the premise of the book was pretty misogynistic and I couldn't suspend disbelief and that it took me 5 months to finish out of irritation over that. otherwise I really like monroe! this one wasn't my favorite.

Exactly What I Needed

Sure this one's unlikely but it made me smile. I loved these characters and the way they took their time with each other. Make we all need a strike in out romance books to get a little romance back. Not only did this one have sizzling chemistry it shows characters that actually take the time to know what each other really want. Loved it.

A lovable quickie. A sure bet.

I love it when I get to start and finish a love story in an afternoon. The characters were fun to follow and we always love to root on the happy ending.
