I devoured this book! I loved Cammy and JP’s story! I was hooked from the beginning. The tropes were top tier - second chance love, forced proximity, workplace romance, hockey, coaches daughter, AND he falls first. All my favorite things. JP finally convinces Cammy to give him a shot then an unfortunate night drives them apart for 1.5 years. This is their second chance story. Cammy’s dad, Seven, drove me crazy in a good way. He was definitely a helicopter dad but his character was great and essential to the story. Both Cammy and JP had great friendships that developed throughout the book which had a found family feel, too. And the spice was great and well timed in my opinion. I loved this book.

*3.75* This was a really easy and fun read for me. I know it’s a second-chance romance but the miscommunication was driving me crazy, I just wanted to scream at them half the book!! Their story and chemistry had me hooked though and it was all cleared up in the end. JP had me swooning with all his sweet French, he falls first and nothing matters but getting her back. I really enjoyed the side characters in the story as well. Thank you Chasing Books PR and Kenna King for eARC.

I absolutely enjoyed this book! I’m currently in my feel good romcom era and this book just fit perfectly.
We have Cammy Wrenley our FMC and the coach’s daughter she is brilliant, funny, a go getter.
Then we have our MMC JP the hot, playboy Hockey Player.
Both come from pretty shitty upbringing when it comes to atleast one of their parents. And when our playboy JP first saw Cammy he fell for her. In his quirky way of sending noted via hockey pucks when he finally gets his moment with her be royally screws up. Cammy is left with the question was it all a lie? JP left as the typical player and wondering if he lost her for good. 1 year later they find themselves working for the same Team: The Hawkeyes, Cammy’s dad is coaching JP. He is determined to get his girl back, Cammy is determined to not get hurt again. & ofc Coach standing in their way.
I was hooked, I need to know will they won’t they? And I guess you’ll find out.
I do have some questions like how old is her dad ?! Haha I kept saying well damn how old is coach but I hope all my questions will have answers in the future books in the series.
