This book simply wasn’t for me despite being a wlw and generally craving wlw stories.
While well-written, I found the main character anything but likely to be Magdalene’s love interest. There was no believable chemistry or tension to make me think otherwise.
I was particularly annoyed by the nicknames and pet names, namely “little one” and “teach.”. Said nicknames made the dialogue feel awkward and forced.
I got tired of being told Lily, Amanda, and Suzie were doing something or a part of something. Neither Amanda nor Suzie ever had any significant part in the plot or even a dialogue… of 200 students they were the only ones these school staff knew?!
The sex scenes were well done so if you’re craving semi-graphic wlw spice I’d say this might be a fun read for you.
