I'm sad that this series has come to an end! What a great cast of characters! I do wish that this finally
was stronger as I felt several of the characters including out mmc lacked impact to this conclusion.

Of the four books in this series, this was probably my least favorite, though I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

The epilogue also left me with so many unanswered questions! There were some aspects of the ending I loved —

Gwynn is a badass, but my heart hurts for her, and the trees sounded absolutely beautiful

— but overall it felt like it wrapped up too fast and left so many loose ends.

Overall though if you love high fantasy stories and magic, with a side of romance, I would definitely recommend a read!

Absolutely loved this series, and enjoyed the ending. Gwyn was insufferable for most of the book, and it felt like she didn’t grow much as a character.

Syrra’s death is the only thing I will complain about. It was so preventable and I was so annoyed at Nick for not staying in the healer camp.

Absolutely love this series and this one didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend continuing the series if you’ve only read the first etc also don’t forget to support your local bookstore for this series.
