This book was to wrap up any loose ends and to give a small character arch to Riven as all three books have mostly focused on Keera's character development. It did not feel unnecessary and the series feels more complete with this book, but I do wonder how the series would have felt if the character development from this book were included into Book 3.

I really really enjoyed the finale to this series (and the series as a whole). I think the pacing was well done in the first 70% of the book, however the ending I think could have been a bit flushed out. It felt a bit rushed and there were certain events that felt glossed over quickly, such as the deaths towards the end
I really lovedhow mature keera was in taking the year apart from Riven to heal themselves and get used to this new world on their own as they'd already been through so much , I think it showed great maturity. The epilogue was beautiful, but I do wish we saw a bit more of their relationship in the future.

I wanted to end the series bc I loved the first two books. But where was Riven?? Why did he just not exist in this book? Why did they make stupid choices?
