This is a series that truly only got better as time went on. I remember being very wary of the first book but this finale truly blew me away. It's very rare that I appreciate the plot and politics more than the romance of a book, but this had an excellent attention grabbing plot. Riven in this book was written a bit more as a decoration than a real character, but his absence didn't ruin the book. After so many character introductions I understand it's difficult to balance them all perfectly. This truly was an exceptional ending to a good story. I admire the author's willingness to be ruthless with her characters.

I enjoyed this series. It gives hints of Maas's Throne of Glass, as Blair writes vulnerable and imperfect characters, fighting, loving, and forgiving their way through a world of prejudice and genocide.
