Hawkeye is the type of hero that anyone can enjoy because he's just a regular guy.
Pros:
-Lucky the pizza dog
-Kate Bishop
-Clint is always in over his head
-"It's okay everybody. It's okay. I'm an Avenger." "...Are you, like, Iron Fist or something?"
Cons:
-kind of boring storylines (sorry Clint)
-artwork was mediocre at best
-the Young Avengers issue at the end was a totally different vibe
But seriously, guys. Just look how golden this content is:

None of the issues in this collection are easy to read, which I appreciate in theory but which breaks my brain in practice. The story-telling is in no way linear — the first issue has three distinct timelines (dog, eviction, Hawkeye badassery) that are each told in vignettes that are chronological for their story but which trade off with the other timelines in a non-chronological fashion, if that makes any sense, which it probably doesn't.

I quite enjoyed this book, it reminded me both in art style and story composition of the original Eastman & Laird Ninja Turtles comics (a series that I cut my comic teeth on, so to speak) so the combination of something new about one of my new favorite characters and that feeling of familiarity made for a good reading experience.
I'll definitely be looking for the rest of this run, even though I know that a few issues are about Kate Bishop (aka: Hawkeye 2.0) and not Clint Barton, but that's to be expected, since the title is Hawkeye and not The Continuing Adventures of Clint Barton.

I LOVE Hawkeye from the MCU, and I loved this so much!! I expected to enjoy it, but admittedly not as much as I did. I really loved it!! I am so glad I picked it up, and I will be definitely be getting volume 2 of this.

Well, this was fun! I've never read Marvel comics before (other than the Runaways series), and I wasn't sure that I'd be able to jump in. (Confession: my geekdom about the Avengers, as a team and as individuals, is based strictly on having seen the movies.) I'd basically written off the entire Marvel comics world, assuming that it was just way too late to be able to read any of it without knowing the tremendous amount of history and backstory for each of the characters. I was happy to discover that none of this was a problem while reading Hawkeye: My Life as a Weapon. The story is accessible even for the Marvel newbie, and Hawkeye himself makes a great hero to follow -- no superpowers, just mad skills and a deep sense of honor, despite the crazy risk-taking and tendency to end up in heaps of trouble. This book is fast, filled with great, energetic artwork, and tells a good story. I'm sold; now to track down volume 2.

I dunno if Hoopla had it out of order or if it’s just very disjointed in general, but the storyline was very sparse and just, not very good. I feel like it needed more exposition. The storylines could’ve been longer, they were brief and I barely knew what the point of any of it was.
Also as an artist myself i hate to say it, but the artist of the second half was not very good. Nothing compared to David Aja. His work was beautiful even if the storyline was a bit subpar.
