After reading this I now totally understand why everyone was raving about this series. Matt Fraction's Hawkeye is funny and the stories are fun. The drawing and pacing were wonderful. I would argue even if you are not a regular comic reader, this is worth a read. I had been debating reading Fraction's "Sex Criminals," but after reading Hawkeye, I am definitely going to explore more of Fraction's work.

Hawkeye is easily the most fun graphic novel (trade paperback) I've read in ages.
Fraction has done the impossible -- he's made me love one of the dopiest, lamest of all Avengers. I never hated Hawkeye, I just couldn't have cared less about him. That's all changed now.

The Hawkeye issues were great, with a canny, sublime humour. The Young Avengers comic, despite being centered around Kate Bishop, didn't share the sharp tone and was a bit of a let down. The Hawkeye comics took both Bishop and Clint Barton in an inventive direction however, so it bodes well for the series.

Yep, this title is accurate. He is alive, and is also a weapon. This was entertaining and also took about 15 minutes to read.
