I would rate it lower if possible

Ugh. That was disappointingly dull. They can’t all be winners I suppose.

I love this series but this book was kind of slow compared to the last few. I would still recommend the read but know it's not one of the best in the series

I loved this book. I have read every book thus far in this series, and I love how the author continues to find new and interesting concepts to keep us tuned to reading the books. Most people who have not read this series would wonder how J.D Robb is 47 books into the series, and it is still going strong. The reason for the success of these books, I believe is her development of the relationships between her characters. Eve, Roarke, McNabb, Peabody, Mira, Whitney, Dennis, Feeney, Mavis, Summerset (Vampire), Nadine, Leo, Bella, and Galahad, etc. are part of the stories and they develope to become their own family. Eve is an awesome character that has a heart of gold that she hides beneath her prickly and truthful side. I would highly recommend this series to others. I cannot wait for the next book. Happy reading :)

Another solid Eve Dallas installment. It was full of things we expect, like Peabody’s unfailing kindness except when wrapping up bad guys and Eve’s constant misunderstanding of language most of us find innate.

There is suicide bombers, stolen art, and one memorable moment of strife between Eve and her husband, Roarke. I didn’t know who did the crimes and that always makes for a nice cop thriller. Yes, the formula may be the same, but isn’t that part of the charm that keeps us coming back for more Dallas and her mismatched family?

While I absolutely love this series, this book was not the best for me. There was some solid police work and all of the characters I love were involved but, for me, the plot was just okay.
I loved the whole Oscars element though, and Eve's attitude toward all of the Oscar hoopla was hilarious...

One of the best "In Death" books I've read. Bella's such a sweetheart and so funny when she pronounces Summerset's name - "Somshit." As always, after reading J.D. Robb's books, I am always compelled to reread the series while waiting for the next book.

The best thing about this book is that it didn't end the way I was expecting and that made me totally happy because I am a little bit fed up with the bad guys always trying to kill somebody near Dallas. So I appreciated this book also because it is not easy write the 47th book in a series and still having a lot of people waiting for it to be published!
