I just find this one so unnecessarily long but I do love the foreshadowing to the reveals and all of Sirius’s scenes in the book. It’s interesting to see how incompetent the ministry is as well.

First time rereading since a child. I enjoyed this one quite a lot - it is engaging and moves at a good pace considering the length

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has been the best entry in the series yet (and miles better than the film adaptation)! The overarching plot really begins to develop from here on out. Most of the major players in the game begin to show. The main conflicts of Lord Voldemort vs Hogwarts as well as Hogwarts vs The Ministry of Magic start to rise here. In addition, all of the several layers of detail between the character backstories, side plots, character relationships, and the like are intricately-woven, delivering a compelling and winding narrative with something for every fan. This novel was intense, detailed, varied, and covering a whole realm of topics. Definitely the best for me so far.
