this is my first book by the author and definitely not the last. i thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this. nathan and chase started something up between themselves years ago during the summers and things ended suddenly, leaving chase wondering what happened. four years later and chase is faced with nathan again. they rekindle their friends with benefits situation but quickly realize that they’re more than friends with benefits to one another. nathan and chase grew throughout the book, helping each other understand and overcome issues and grow as a couple as well as individual people. i really enjoyed watching them bloom into themselves as well as getting their hea. such an enjoyable read

This second chance romance about two people who were really young and just not ready for each other the first time around is an entertaining story. They are still young when they enter each other lives again so it takes them a minute to get it right but ultimately they figure it out. The narrator does a great job too.

I enjoyed this read!

Nate and Chase Is a second chance at love, with a but more maturity to communicate and understand. Secrets are told and love grows!

Interested to see where the author takes us to visit in book 2.

I received a free copy of this book via Indie Author Creative and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nathan and Chase are a fun-loving couple who were separated after a summer fling a few years back, thanks to life getting in the way. They're reunited when Nathan heads back to spend the summer with his Uncle Drew, who gave him a post-graduation job. They start working together but instantly get back together as if no time had passed by at all.

A quick, yet steamy read with a happy ending! :-)

Side notes:

* Sweet couple but it seemed as if they got back together as if nothing happened and then explained why they didn't keep in touch.

* All the characters were likable, so this is definitely a low-angst read, but goodness - *fans self - it does get rather steamy!

I look forward to reading Fall of Us next!

After Nathan come back to help his uncle after being gone for 4 years, he meets up with Chase and tensions are immediately high. Nathan tries to talk about his feelings at first, but Chase doesn't want to hear it due to being hurt by Nathan being gone so long with no communication between them.

When things get a little hot and heavy at a party, Chase decides to have some spicy fun with Nathan since he thinks they're on a limited timeline and boy, do things get spicy! The praise and light degradation that Nathan used to tell him comes back in full force and Chase just can't resist.

I hope we see more of them in the next books!

So, here I was browsing on GRR when I saw this cover, read the blurb, saw the kinks and instantly requested.

Straight up, this book is not kinky. Not in the slightest. One single sentence of "good boy," and such for each round of sex does not equal praise or degradation kink. So that already made my little kinky heart sad because honestly I was hoping and expecting for some spicy kinky times. Whomp whomp. The sex was alright. It wasn't spicy though. Maybe... 1? 1.5? But then again, I read some pretty spicy shit so my scale may be skewed.

I have to say though, I loved Chase. I adored him as a character and honestly wished he'd have moved on with his life, gotten therapy, and started dating someone else. He honestly deserved it. Because when it came down to it, the reason Nathan gave him for just... peacing out, was stupid as shit and I would have left his ass in bed, put him on block and never looked back. You're saying, the reason that you left the love of your soon to be life, was because you just wanted to fuck around?
I-
I don't get it. Like I literally did not understand his reasoning. This author could have come up with ANYTHING but... what? Also, why did they never speak to each other? 4 years ago cell phones did exist. Are you saying they met up for several summers in a row, turned a friendship into something *more* and didn't bother to exchange numbers? Alrighty then. I guess?

Also, how did Nathan's mum know about the passing of Chase's parents and didn't bother to let it slip even once? Like, "oh that poor boy you were best friends with when we went to see Drew for the summer? His parents died."

Ok. We get that Chase has a cat. Because Oreo is mentioned 50 times. FIFTY. TIMES. It's like the author copied and pasted that Oreo came to see him as soon as he opened the door, wound around his legs all while purring. He then opened a cupboard and grabbed a can of cat food and fed and watered her. Literally. Every. Time. He. Goes. Home. What about her litter box? What about playing with her or keeping her active? Literally nothing else but feeding her and that she purrs. The pets do not need to be brought up five bajillion times when they play zero part in the plot.

Can we also talk about what the hell is going on with the daughter? Because everyone who saw them interact thought they were banging. Drew even hinted at it. Then slips her a note while she is WORKING and I thought it was his number or something like "hmu when u get off bb

There really is nothing more comforting and memorable than summers on a beach. Nathan never forgot Chase and sweet Chase definitely never forgot Nathan. They were quite young when they first got involved, so their situation not working out to be forever during that first summer of love was very realistic. My heart went out to Chase as he lost a lot so young. Even if I was a little bit annoyed with Nathan, I was glad he ended up back where he belonged. These two definitely provided the spice and cute dirty talk! They got me in the mood for warm nights with my feet in the sand.
