This was a classic Christie setup, set in a small village where not much ever happened before, where gossip runs rife, and where every villager is a suspect. Delicious.

I genuinely thought that I had this one figured out about 50 pages in, was disappointingly sure of myself in fact, but, what do you know, Christie really got me in the end! Boy, was I delighted that she managed to dupe me after all.

I don't have much else to add here that I haven't already covered in my other Christie reviews, but I will just reiterate that there's a hard and fast reason that she's one of my favorite authors!

Ah! I've finally gotten back into reading Agatha Christie's novels after five years!!! I had forgotten the thrill, the slightly spooky vibes... And reading her mystery books at night? Couldn't get any better. And my beloved Miss Marple, witty and constantly knitting. I'm looking forward to reading more of Agatha Christie's books!
