I accidentally read the second book in the series first. I really enjoyed it. So going back and reading the first book seemed like a good idea. But most of the stuff that happens in the first book is covered in the second book. There were really no surprises. And I’m wondering if the two books could have been combined in the first place. Overall I like the story and the characters and I’m excited to see what happens in the final book of the series.

What away to start a series!! I love this author and plenty of family dynamics in this to keep you on the edge of your seat... set in the Caribbean island of St John this books whisks you away to intrigue, drama and of course romance!

Christmas got me in the mood for some light reading, and this fit the bill, even if it was more dramatic than a typical romance. I have to say though, the author's writing in third person, present tense was distracting.

More like a 3.5 star book for me.

This is definitely not my type of book but it was a fun to read this week in particular (it's been raining here off and on for a few weeks) because it felt like a vacation type of book. At least it made me wish I was on a warm tropical beach while reading it. I will probably read the others in the series because I can't NOT finish a series. I'll need to know what happens to everyone in the other books.
