This is my third foray into Forster. I could hardly put it down, though it's hard to say why. I'm looking forward to book club discussion.

i desperately wanted to like this book, and in some ways i did. however, the last page made me want to throw it across the room and the battle of the sexes talk felt like it droned on. overall, it is an interesting novel meditating on relationships, society, and money, but i felt like i chugged through it out of spite.

This book is really just half philosophical ramblings between characters and half animation of E.M. Forster's vivid whims. It was interesting, at times amusing, but there's a nagging dissatisfaction at the end. :/
