The last few pages made me emotional.
within just 3 chapters in a small book, you truly do sympathize with Gregor and his predicament - which in this absurdist novel is a clear commentary on capitalism and the trouble the working class experience and how you are of no value as before when you are unable to provide. You are, quite essentially, a roach. a burden.
it is not surprising how his writing still resonates with our generation.

umm it was good.. ending was werird but it was good.....

"And i'm sorry for scaring you,

but i didn't know being seen would cost me my life."

I don’t understand how big he is. He can barely fit under the couch and can unlock doors but is small enough do scurry up the wall??

Wow, what a quite a shite piece of literature!

Celebrated writing style, in my horrible, horrible, horrible opinion was an utter trash.

Call me a snob, I guess, but I need to see what actions got us in these consequences, I hate when things get presented as-it-is.
Such a lazy-ass style of writing.

The thing is that we only getting one side of the story. And that side, Gregor, is quite bland. We can’t project anything out of him because we don’t know how we got here. We got a half-assed explanation, yes, but it still didn’t work because you can’t get emotional about a certain character if you don’t get to know him/her.

The only thing I did enjoy was translation. German literature is quite wordy, complicated in it’s nature and here it was neatly presented in classical English style.

Oh and I did get the message, though. It still ended up being shite but in depressive kind of way.
